I love this hat. I am making it for my four year old granddaughter. I have a seven year old granddaughter too. She has a larger head. Do you have suggestions for making it bigger?

hi too busy, I would add another round, or go up size in your hook, so for each size, I usually go up one round or go up on the hook, so you could do, J hook, or do a round 5 increase, rnd.5, 2 dc in one chain, 3 dc in the next 3 seperate chains space, 2dc, *repeat for that round, hope that helps. thanks

Thank you so much for posting your very easy-to-follow directions! I am a new crocheter, and I finished this hat and flower in a matter of a couple of hours! I'm thrilled with it and will be making a few for my nieces at Christmas! I plan to post my finished hat(s) on my blog and link back here in the next couple of days!

So glad I found you. My grandaughter needs your hats and I need to make them but My grandson is 5 yr old hat-iac no hat to big, too small or too strange so he will love the cars hat and the birds.
