This crochet earflap hat is a great way to keep your child's ears warm and look cute at the same time. This crochet hat is done with yarn and a pretty accent flower.

Can you please explain how to make a dc2tog???
Thank you
youtube has great videos on how to do this. I may make one soon. you yarn over like you are going to do a double crochet, then bring up three loops on the hook like a dc, then yarn over and bring bring two loops through the hook like the first part of a dc, then leave two loops on the hook. continue to the next stitch with two loops on the hook, yarn over and you will have 4 loops on your hook, yarn over and bring two loops through your hook, you will have three loops left on your hook, yarn over and bring all three loops through your hook, and you are finished, hope this helps.
Thank U so much for answering me so fast. I am going to try making this hat for my two granddaught's they are 6 and 4 yrs. old. I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks again,
Patty
I just made 2 of these hats for my grand daughters! Fast and easy and so adorable!!!
I do not understand how the ear flaps go on, It says to make to and the placement of the 2nd but not the 1st.
For the first one, I slip stitch my yarn on the side of the hat and have the seem of the hat in the back, or you can just continue on from the finishing of your hat and do double crochet for the flap, either way is fine. I like to start again with a slip stitch for the first earflap so the seam of the hat is in the back when you wear it, 2 nd earflap, just match it with first earflap on the other side. Hope this helps
Yes, thank you.
