  10. Thank you so much for this pattern! It was very easy to follow. I did make some alterations to it: 1) starting the hat using a magic circle allows you to fully close it. 2) after making the mask I SC around to give it clean edges and better hide color change over. 3) with the fin work normal but then rows 5 - 7 is just working backwards rows 1-3to decreasing instead increasing. This allows you to fold the fin in half before attaching to help it keep its shape and more sturdy. Hope this helps and you approve of my alterations!

  15. Has it occurred to anyone else that if we are still wearing face masks next winter, this hat may be a great way to wear a face mask? Just connect the face mask to the button. It’s too warm for the summer, but for the winter, it might work! And be fun for kids.

All I can say is, do less rounds and use smaller hook size. I dont have the time redo the pattern for all those sizes.

  18. Thank you for a super easy to read and understand pattern. I made this for my hubs and sadly it is too big. I crochet tight too so I'm not sure what went wrong, I used RHSS in black and baby blue as the accent. He loves it though so I'm going to do some touch up work to make it fit. Overall though was very pleasing to work on, managed to do the entire helmet with breaks in approximately 6 hours. I need to add his fin but I'll do that after I have the fit right. Look forward to trying out some of your other patterns. Thanks for sharing!

  19. Do you have a stitch gauge for this pattern? I find it helpful to have a gauge when crocheting garments. Thank you so much for such a cool pattern.

  21. I do not understand how you only go up 10 stitches for each row. mine are doubling.

  22. please watch the video, and I think its because the row has decreased stitches

  24. I made a Knight's Helmut for my grandson and then I made a man's size in camo...left off the blade for a friend that he has worn while hunting. They both love them. 😃
