I made this purse for myself for when having a special night out! I hope you like it! I love putting my makeup compact and credit cards in a little clutch purse when I have a night out, so this is perfect!
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
sl st=slip stitch
Dimensions: 7" in length X 4" height
Make it bigger with more sc or a bigger hook or smaller with a smaller hook or fewer stitches, but I tried to create a certain amount of sc so the shell top fits in the stitches properly.

Thank you. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great tutorial
ReplyDeleteI have a question though..
If I want to add more stiches to the length so the shell top will still fit.. what amount of stiches should I add??
Thanks again
I’m not sure I made this pattern a while ago but I’d would go with a larger hook to make it wider
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply..
DeleteAnother question if i may ask
How did you end it? Is it sc in all stiches?
yes until the shell part, did you watch the video that may help you
ReplyDeleteIs there a problem with the button part, or am I reading it wrong. Where do you get the 5 SC for the button n the 2nd round, when you only have 2 sc to begin with.
ReplyDeleteok I rewrote it so it makes sense, E hook
ReplyDeleteRnd 1: Ch 2, work 5 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sl st
Rnd 2: work 2 sc around, sl st -10 sc
Rnd 3: work sc around each sc, sl st -10 sc
Rnd 4: 2 sc together decrease 5 times -5 sc
Rnd 5: sc in each sc around, sl st. -5 sc, Fasten off.
