I was given a cross like this one and have been looking for the pattern for awhile. So happy to find it and your site. The video was very good
as it helps translate the pattern. Thank you, Harriet

I was making the pattern and I got stuck and was wondering how do you do the sc in the dc when you do the edging?

did you watch the video, I think that will really help, just insert hook into the dc and create a sc in that dc around the entire pattern.

Amy, I've written an elaborate little symbolism for your wonderful cross pattern, and I'd like your permission to publish the link in an article about it if I can find an interested editor. Could you please email me at tonilocke@att.net?

Just wondering what the dimensions of the cross are?
Thank you!

unfortunately I dont, I did this a long while ago, I would guess, 5 -6 inches across, and 6-7 inches in length, you can make it bigger or smaller by changing the hook size and yarn.

I had trouble following the video. The yarn I a using is not thread. I was having trouble following the video.
For Row 2 I think you said to do a dc in the top of the Ch 3. I wasn't sure how to find the ch 3. Could you tell me how to locate it?
Thanks.
Linda

I'm not sure I understand your question. The pattern is up above to follow for Row 2. I made this video many years ago. I just went back and watched it. You will have previous chain 3, so work dc on top of it. Here is row 2. *Ch 3 (Counts as a dc), (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the ch 2 space) Shell made in the previous ch 2 from row 1. dc in the top of the Ch 3, Turn, *Repeat Row 2, for a total of 14 Shells. Fasten off after row 14.
