Thank you for this idea and demonstrate! I had thought to use the toilet paper rolls too, but I was doing it a little differently. I made a slit on the end of the roll, put the loose end of the yarn in it, rolled the yarn on the tube, and when I was done, I made another slit on the other end of the roll to put the other end of the yarn in. Then, when I was ready to use the yarn, I put it in my large coffee can - I also have a slit in the plastic lid for the yarn to come thru - then just let it roll away in the can. Hope this is a good idea for someone as well!
