ReplyDeleteIf you wanted to chart the braiding, label each braid 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 from left to right. Lay your strips flat and split them with 1 & 2 slanted to the left, and 3,4 & five slanted to the right with a space in the middle. Take 5 and lay it across 3 & 4 to the middle space, keeping all strips flat. Take 1 and lay it across 2 to the middle.
Then, alternate the left outside strip to the middle and then the right outside strip to the middle. Always keeping strips flat, continue down to the bottom alternating left outside to middle, then right outside to middle.
You would probably like to reword this. I know parts are redundant.
